Where Academia Meets Artistry

I was honored to deliver a guest lecture series at the University of Alberta, invited by Nasim Ahmadian PHD in Musicology, where we explored:

1. Technique: The architecture of Rasgueado, Alzapúa, Tremolo etc, and flamenco improvisation.
2. History: From Indo-Aryan roots to contemporary flamenco movements.
3. Forms: The emotional lexicon of Soleá , Bulería, Granaína etc.

This unique academic perspective – combining Dr. Ahmadian’s musicological expertise with my performance experience – creates a multidimensional understanding of flamenco that honors tradition while embracing innovation.
